Making ministerial aspirations real
When it comes to making a difference in young peoples’ lives, it’s often hard to predict where a mentor can have the most impact.
Sometimes a lasting impression can be made even during a brief period of counseling with a mentor. For Taylor Pryde, a master’s degree candidate at Duke Divinity School, her mentor from middle school inspired her early on to pursue her aspirations to become a pastor. And, this mentor also happened to be a Duke alum.
Watch Pryde talk about the amazing financial support she’s received at Duke because of the Divinity School Annual Fund. It’s making her dreams to share the goodness of God come true.
"The Annual fund answered that prayer in the sense that I wasn’t really sure what it would look like to go to a school like Duke, knowing it would be expensive but also knowing that it was my dream,” she said.
