Nursing care: from North Carolina to Guatemala

Scholarships at Duke University School of Nursing allow the best and brightest students to attend regardless of their ability to pay.

Just ask nursing graduate Vicki Grossmann D.N.P.’12, who is now the director of the Good Shepherd Clinic and Good Shepherd Children’s Home in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. Her work is positively impacting the lives of at-risk and abandoned children in Guatemala.

“We know that these children can have a future. They can have a different future,” she said.
